Just like everything about Foodie!, our policies are just as simple and friendly too.

Overview

At Foodie!, we are mindful of the diverse preferences of our customers and of the sensitive nature of consumables. We are totally on your side and will help you achieve your aim whenever you make a purchase from us.

We try our best to understand your orders, make meaningful suggestions that you can accept or decline and in all, we aim to serve you right. But however good our intentions may be, we are limited to selecting goods, processing and delivering them only as you request. We cannot act beyond what you clearly communicate to us.

We therefore urge our customers to be clear and specific when interacting with our sales team in order to achieve fulfilment.

Return Policy

Due to the nature of products we sell, you can only reject and return goods at drop-off through the delivery agent that is making the delivery. Although we will not accept responsibility for goods not returned through this process, our help lines are always open for discussions. We offer refund for unreturned goods in special cases, so don’t be afraid.

Perishable goods

  • For perishable goods, we will gladly accept returns necessitated by errors made by our sales team, return of wrong, expired, tampered or spoilt products as well as return of mishandled products. You are encouraged to share with our Customer Success Agent via WhatsApp photographs showing why you are returning such product. You may further return products delivered to you more than four hours after you were told the product has left for delivery.
  • Due to the dynamic nature of the market, you are not entitled to return products based on your expectation of measure or price since measures and prices may change without notice as is obtainable in the food and grocery market. Food processing doesn’t fall within the scope of our service although we may sometimes offer to help; as such, returns cannot be made on the basis of failed or unsatisfactory food processing.

Packaged products

  • Packaged products can be returned if they are delivered spoilt, expired or tampered with. Please share photographs of such suspected tamper, product expiration date or spoilage with our CSA via WhatsApp for confirmation before return.

Homemade meals

  • Your meal orders are doubly nylon-sealed. The first nylon-seal lie underneath the lid and it is made with a transparent adhesive nylon while the second is an outer nylon tied at the top with a ribbon. While the outer nylon can be ruffled on transit, the inner nylon-seal should not be ruffled. You are advised to share photographs of meals you suspect to be tampered-with with our CSA via WhatsApp. Our CSA will advice you on whether or not the food was tampered with and you will be advised to return any meal we believe so.
  • You can also return a meal when an entirely different meal other than what you requested is delivered to you.
  • Beyond a confirmed incident of tampering or a total meal swap, other complaints can be resolved and may not warrant a return.

Refund Policy

  • Refund for returned goods will be made within 48 hours. Whether refund will be made in full or in part is subject to circumstances surrounding individual cases.
  • Refund for undelivered goods will be made within 48 hours in full.
  • Cost of dispatch will be refunded when cause of return emanates from our sales and services unit. In cases where such dissatisfaction emanates from a customer’s ineffective communication, cost of dispatch will not be refunded.
  • Only amount received for specific items can be refunded.

Privacy Policy

 Comments

When visitors leave comments on website we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist afterwards. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

Beside being published on our website, visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
